Pivot windows and French doors rotate on fixed pins positioned on the vertical or horizontal profiles of the frame, allowing the window to open on its vertical or horizontal axis.
The opening occurs partly outward and partly inward. If the stops are positioned centrally on the horizontal axis, there will be an upper tilt opening and a lower projection opening; in the case of vertical opening, the pins are usually not positioned at equal distances, allowing for an internal opening with a different length from the one that opens outward.
They are a practical solution when ample space is not available, as they allow light to enter while maintaining room ventilation.
- Practicality and functionality
- Constant ventilation of rooms
- Possibility of motorized opening
- Ideal for small spaces
